Have you ever seen anything so pretty? Subtle, delicate and delightful.
White flowers that are a rich purple in the centre, gently fading out towards the edges of the petals, with a large pistil that bees and butterflies love.
"Edge of Joy" is also well suited to pots and tubs.
Tip: Pinch dahlias as soon as they are 20cm to 30cm (8" to 12") tall: simply shorten the shoot tip by a third. This way, they'll form more shoots, flower more and look bushier.
And, if you're hungry for more dahlia details, have a look at my "DAHLIA DELIGHT" eBook. Everything you ever wanted to know about caring for your dahlias and, of course, full to the brim with beautiful photos and inspiration.
Planting: May, after the last frost — dahlias are sensitive to frost! Or pre-grow them in a frost-free environment.
Location: Preferably in full sun. Dahlias also tolerate partial shade, but they won't flower as lavishly.
Flowering period: July to the first frost
Flower size: 5cm – 7cm (2" – 2.75")
Flower type: Decorative
Colour: White, purple
Height: 40cm – 60cm (16" – 24")
Spacing: 50cm – 75cm (20" – 30")

🐝 Dahlias are often wrongly described as not insect-friendly. But for most of them, as soon as the flowers open up (even the fully double ones), Bees & Co can access stamen and pollen.
