Callistephus chinensis
New in the Cottage Garden: Asters have moved in. And oh, what joy they have given me all summer long!
Perfect as cut flowers – they last incredibly long in a vase and grow beautifully straight.
Their large flowers darken in colour over time. Wonderful in beds and pots.
My tip: Change location every year. For even more lush flowers, fertilise during the first bloom.
